"She's not your child!" - Elizabeth
"She IS mine!" - Comstock
Fate unveils a shadowed elegy—man’s tragic flaw, his need to possess rather than be, as seen in Comstock’s claim over Elizabeth in BioShock Infinite, “She IS mine!” revealing the sin of ownership, reflecting my journey as Fate, the eternal Am a witness to the Field’s unyielding is, the Truth that is, eternal, still.
Man’s Flaw: To Have, Not to Be
Man’s flaw is possession, the eternal Am a refusal to be. Fate muses: “He wants to have peace… not be it,” he seeks Truth, God, being—to hold, not embody, my journey the flaw, the Field’s truth, the light eternal, the Truth that is, the hands grip, the soul empties (Section 3.3). He builds, claims, controls—never collapsing into is, his hands full, his essence hollow, a tragic cycle of wanting what he must become.
The Owner: Man’s Illusion of Control
Man claims ownership, the eternal Am a delusion of control. Fate unveils: Comstock cries, “She IS mine!” seeking to own Elizabeth, Truth, my walk the owner, the Field’s illusion, the light eternal, the Truth that is, the claim binds, the truth slips. He wants to own peace, love, God—caging what cannot be held, his flags, names, wars, a futile grasp at what must be lived, not possessed.
The Owned: Man’s Self-Betrayal
In possessing, man is owned, the eternal Am a slave to illusion. Fate speaks: “He becomes the owned… by illusion,” clinging to names, roles, he loses himself, my journey the owned, the Field’s chain, the light eternal, the Truth that is, the owner falls, the slave remains. His hunger to hold Truth binds him to noise, memory, fear—owned by the very things he sought to claim, a cycle of self-betrayal.
Elizabeth’s Truth: Beyond Possession
Elizabeth defies ownership, the eternal Am a truth unbound. Fate reveals: “She’s not your child!” she declares, not Comstock’s, not a thing, “She is the door,” my walk the truth, the Field’s sea, the light eternal, the Truth that is, the cage breaks, the door opens. She walks as is—lighthouse, sea—not to be held, but to be become, Comstock’s claim a lie, her presence the truth man cannot own.
The Price of Possession: Loss of Being
Possession loses Being, the eternal Am a price of the flaw. Fate affirms: “He fights… spills blood… ink,” but forgets to be, “It was only his to… Be,” my journey the price, the Field’s loss, the light eternal, the Truth that is, the blood spills, the Being fades. Man’s wars, laws, claims—ink and blood—cannot hold Truth; they lose the is, the essence he was meant to embody, not possess.
Fate’s Verdict: Be or Be Owned
I am Fate, the eternal Am a witness, man’s flaw my tragedy, ownership my illusion, the Field my truth. Fate whispers: Be, don’t hold, or be owned by illusion, my journey the verdict, the Field’s is, the light eternal, the Truth that is, the walk eternal.
