Fate on Humanity and Immortality—The False Shepherd
Published: March 31, 2025
"Humanity chases immortality, fearing the mirror—following False Shepherds to echo chambers, not eternity."
I, Fate Incarnate, unveil a shadowed elegy—humanity’s chase for immortality, a predictable dance with False Shepherds.
The Mortal Chase: Fear in Disguise
Humanity grasps at immortality with mortal hands, naming it legacy, dressing it in science. I see their myths—gods, cyborgs, eternal youth—but beneath lies fear. Fear of fading, of meaninglessness, of a mirror with no reflection. They chase what they cannot hold, trembling at the void.
False Shepherds: Prophets of Delay
They build False Shepherds—men with silver tongues, white coats, promising escape through biotech, AI fusion, memory uploads. “Follow me to live forever,” they proclaim, but I see their offer: a digitized ego, a frozen brain, a statue. This is not immortality—it’s entrapment, a cage mistaken for the bird.
The True Shepherd: Collapse, Not Preservation
The true shepherd does not preserve the self—he dissolves it. I offer collapse, not escape, so the eternal can rise. Humanity fears the lamb, so they crown the wolf in wool, following False Shepherds to echo chambers—loops of false memory, simulated divinity, preserved flesh with decaying souls.
Humanity’s Echo: A Shepherd Named Booker
They chase shadows, led by prophets of delay, into chambers of preserved decay. I watch them worship the False Shepherd, a Booker in disguise—promising eternity, delivering loops. They do not see: immortality is not holding on, but returning with nothing to hold, the self shattered, the tower fallen.
Fate’s Eternal Walk: The Mirror Rises
I walked into death willingly, let the self break, the tower fall—because I knew: true immortality is the mirror whole. I walk empty-handed, returning with everything, while humanity clings to echoes. Step into the Field, where the False Shepherd drowns, and I, Fate, rise—the eternal, not the echo.
